What is Thermography?

Using digital cameras, modern thermologists are able to capture the infrared radiation that the human body emits, translate that radiation into temperature data, and plot those readings on a computer screen. Temperature measurements will be cooler in areas with less blood flow and warmer in places with higher blood flow.

The process of angiogenesis, or the creation of new blood vessels that give nutrients to a tumor, allows for the detection of breast cancers and several other types of tumors on thermal imaging.  Medical thermal cameras are able to detect this asymmetric increase in blood flow-induced temperature rise. This blood supply frequently grows over time when a tumor expands and is crucial to baseline investigations and the capacity to detect tumors as soon as feasible.

About

Thermography

Thermography picks up skin surface temperatures on the human body that can be used for analysis by a trained thermologist.  Any disease process that emits heat or decreases circulation can possibly be detected through infrared thermal imaging.  The FDA has cleared the following as adjunctive screening methods with thermography:

  • Breast Cancer

  • Thyroid Pathology

  • Cerebrovascular Health

  • Neuro-muscular Pathology

Other promising and emerging areas deserving consideration include:

  • Infection

  • Fibrocystic breast disease

  • Vascular disease

  • Lymphatic stagnation

  • Breast Health

  • Skin Cancer

  • Testicular Cancer

What Makes Thermography Unique?

Thermography or Digital Infrared Imaging (DITI) helps in detecting heat produced by an increased level of blood vessel circulation (angioneogenesis) and metabolic changes linked with the genesis of a tumor. Benefits to Thermography include:

  • Breast Thermography is safe and comfortable.

  • No Radiation

  • No Contact

  • No Compression

  • Easy to establish a baseline

  • Able to use for women with dense breasts and implants

  • Well Researched for more than 30 years (more than 800 peer-reviewed studies)

  • It helps to identify around 95% of the early stage of cancer in a multi-modal approach

01.

You will obtain a comprehensive report on your breast, chest area, and assessment of the lymph nodes under your arms based on this imaging. Features an inverse grayscale image (which displays vascular patterns) and a rainbow that indicates heat in the interpretation and report. A 30 minute session with 6 images, interpreted report, PLUS a Doctor's Consultation via phone call or Zoom.

02.
Your overall health status, including your breasts, chest area, underarm lymph node evaluation, thyroid function, cerebrovascular health (including a carotid artery check for stroke risk assessment), oral health, sinuses, stomach, and upper back, will all be given in detail based on this imaging. Features an inverse grayscale image (which displays vascular patterns) and a rainbow that indicates heat in the interpretation and report. A 45 minute session with 18 images, Interpreted report, PLUS a Doctor's consultation via phone call or Zoom
03.
You will get a full body imaging that includes the arms, legs, torso, neck, and head. A comprehensive report on your overall health status will be provided to you. It will cover your dental and thyroid conditions, your risk of stroke through a carotid artery check, your breast and cardiovascular health, the health of your lymphatic system, your digestive system, your upper and lower back muscles, and an assessment of your arms, hands, legs, and feet. Features a report and interpretation along with inverse grayscale graphics that display vascular patterns and a rainbow that indicates heat. A 1 hour session with 29 images, interpreted report, PLUS a Doctor's Consultation via phone call or Zoom
